CCP grants pay parking extensions instead of Rs 1 crore refund

The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has rejected a pay parking contractor's demand for a Rs 1 crore refund over losses allegedly suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Smart City road closures.

Instead, the corporation has approved extensions to the Phase-l and Phase-Il pay parking contracts to compensate for the losses. Phase-l will be extended from August 15, 2026, to January 23, 2027, while Phase-ll will be extended from December 6, 2025, to November 6, 2026. The extensions are subject to revised licence fees, including a 10% increase, GST and TCS.
