Calangute police apprehended a 25-year-old man after a viral video alleged that he was stalking girls while riding a scooter. During questioning, the man claimed he was intoxicated and had only approached the girls to ask for directions, denying the allegations of stalking and harassment.
As he was found under the influence of alcohol in a public place and his conduct had the potential to disturb public peace, police took preventive action and arrested him under Section 35 of the BNSS, 2023. Investigations are underway.
