Agriculture Department issues advisory to paddy farmers amid dry spell

The dept has advised paddy farmers to delay transplanting and use irrigation where possible

The Goa Directorate of Agriculture has advised paddy farmers to take precautionary measures amid the ongoing dry spell. Farmers have been urged to use irrigation wherever possible, postpone paddy transplanting until adequate rainfall, and contact their nearest Zonal Agriculture Office for technical guidance. The department said it is closely monitoring the weather situation and will issue further advisories as required.
