AAP alleges ‘plan’ behind Ponda by-poll cancellation

AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik calls the High Court’s decision a “murder of democracy”

“The High Court decision to cancel the Ponda by-poll is a murder of democracy. The BJP and the Election Commission of India are responsible for this,” said AAP president Valmiki Naik.

“Chief Minister Pramod Sawant did not want to give the Ponda by-poll ticket to Ritesh Naik, but due to pressure, he gave it to him. So, a plan was made and the by-poll was cancelled,” he added.
