8 Karnataka residents booked for illegal entry into Mhadei Sanctuary

The tourists had entered the restricted Jalavane Waterfall area in Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary

Eight persons from Karnataka were booked for entering the restricted Jalavane Waterfall area inside Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary. The area is a core zone where entry is prohibited for safety and wildlife reasons. With this case, a total of 54 persons have been booked so far for similar violations. The Forest Department has increased patrolling and advised tourists to visit only permitted sites.
